Business travel is a delicate balance. You really don’t know what you are going to get into.

Many times, you have to experience everything new, new places, new hotels, new restaurants. You don’t know right away, where to get what you need.

There are a few products that I love to have with me when I travel for business. These make my life a little bit easier when I am away from home.

Water Bottle with Built In Filter

If you haven’t been in this situation, then you are so super lucky. The “I don’t have any water and I feel I just walked through the desert looking for a drink”.

You have a long flight, you are tired, it’s late. You check into your hotel. There is no bottled water. The store isn’t opened, too far, you are too tired. Just a little drink.

You become so desperate for water, that you consider drinking out of the bathroom sink.

With a water bottle like the one below, you won’t need to worry about this anymore. Just fill it up with the bathroom water, and the bottle has a built in filter.

A Laundry Bag for Your Dirty Clothes

You have been there, you get to the hotel, and there isn’t any drawers, or you simply aren’t going to be in that location long enough to warrant unpacking EVERYTHING. That’s where I love to bring a laundry bag with me.

When I am done with my clothes, I just put the dirty ones in the bag to keep them separate from my clean clothes.

Packing Cubes

These are my multi-city business trip MUST-HAVE item. I put all of the clothes that I need for each city in a pouch and label that pouch.

This way, when I get to each destination, all I have to do is take out that pouch and leave the rest of the clothes in their packs. I don’t have to worry about running out of clothes or unpacking everything at each city.

Travel Shaver with Pouch

Have you ever been in the situation where you have a shower and then promptly have to pack all of your stuff? Your razor is all wet and you don’t want to throw it into your toiletry bag and get everything wet.

Get this super cute travel razor that comes with it’s own case!

For Those Embarrassing #2 Situations…

When you are away from home and natural calls and you want to be discrete, pull out this bad boy, spray in the toilet before you go. Voila! No smell and no one will ever know!

I really like to carry this when I have to share a room with someone else. There is no awkward, don’t go in there conversation.

Comfort Kit for Those Long Haul Flights

If I am on a red-eye or travelling overseas, it is crucial to be comfortable, especially in economy. Pick up one of these kits before hand, it has ear plugs, eye mask and neck pillow.

This will help you get through even the most uncomfortable flights.

For Upset Tummy and Hangovers

You are away, and you drink too much the night before. Maybe your stomach is upset from just general travelling.

I love to have these travel sweets that help keep your stomach calm and you can power through even the busiest of days!

Disinfectant Wipes

As soon as I sit down on the airplane, I pull one of these out. I wipe down all of the surfaces that I will touch, like the arm rest and tray table. I can’t guarantee the last time it was cleaned, so I’ll do it myself.

Same goes for hotel rooms, I like to give light switches a quick wipe and other surfaces that might not get cleaned very often.

This gives me peace of mind that I won’t be touching anything gross.

Compression Socks

If the flight is more than 4 hours, my feet get swollen. Nothing is worse than trying to get into some nice work shoes with swollen feet.

I wear compression socks (especially oversees) and this really helps my feet not get super sore and swollen. Drinking lots of water while wearing these has been a life saver for me!

Portable Power Bank

Ever run out of a charge on your phone while travelling? Yes, this is the worst. I hate it when this happens. If you are in an airport, finding a plug that isn’t occupied is like playing “Where’s Waldo, Airport Edition”.

Bring your own power and be at the mercy of no one.
